Counting down to 2007
It's alr mid december, sigh how time files.. 2007 is coming.. hmm but everything around is still pretty normal. I still rememeber back in school days (year 1999), everyone is talking abt the Millenium, some say the world will end, some say the world will change, some say ppl will be able to fly around, or cars can now fly/ hover. Hahah but 6 years into the "Millenium" the world still look pretty much the same to me.. cars still go on wheels, ppl cant fly and the world definately is still around.. hahaha
This yr seems to be a good yr for marriage and babies... i seems to notice that there are a lot of pregnant mummies around.. which is good, i hope this is the beginning of the Baby boom years again..
Just this month alone, I have to attend 3 wedding .. going broke soon. I was invited to Ailing Church wedding and Wendy afternoon wedding .. i was the mcee too.. hahah somehow this time round i fare much better, i guess the numerous rounds of practise helps :P (I think I spoilt a few wedding before) hahaha.
I am going for my Xmas shopping now...

Getting Lazy
Haha i am getting lazy :) I have not been posting for more than 2 weeks ... Last Thurs was my BD. I am very happy that all my frens remembered my birthday, got alot of wishes, a lot of presents... from Mun, Yong, Sesame, my Cussis...
On Tuesday (07 Nov 06), my team went for a team dinner, to celebrate that our team is now completed. We went to PS cafe, at a very Hulu place (opp Botanic garden). The ambience is good, very cosy and nicely decorated. Main course was kinda disappointing.. hahaha But the dessert is simply heavenly.. the choco pudding was Yummmmm.... with cherry and choco sauce all around it .... it a pretty nice place to chill but their reservation method is a little funny. They will only take in the reservation from 6.30 to 8pm and 8.30 till late.. which means if u book the 6.30pm slot, you will need to leave by 8pm so that they can clear the table for the next session... It was a good dinner, nice place, good dessert most importantly nice crowd (my team).....
Yesterday, was a crazy nite, I reached home at 2pm... Met 2 old frens, we have not met for 2 years, we used to hang out and go cludding when we are younger. We can hop around pubs then, from Madam Wong to Samsara. We used to go for on ladies nite, so that we can get free flow of drinks and party all nite without spending too much ... ahah super cheapstake... Last nite we went over to my fren pub at Robertson Quay, it was a nice cosy pub but too bad the crowd was a little sala. .. it full of NS boys.. hahah they had booked the place to celebrate their ORD... We left after a beer and head down to Butter Factory.... Butter factory deco is pretty unique.. I felt as if i am inside Cartoon network... we ordered a bottle of white wine and chill... taking about the good old days.. the funny and crazy things.. our numerous unsuccessful Sentosa suntanning trips.. hahaha I missed those days.. they are good memory, I will keep them well .... in a small cosy corner of my heart......
I learn to realise that some frens are just for keeps.. even if you dun see each other often, but once u meet tt deep hidden feeling are evoked.. as if distance never exist ... Isn't this what frens are.....

My baking class
I went for a 1 day baking class last sat, it was pretty fun. But the class was a little big so end up we do not have enuff utensils to use..apart from that it pretty ok. It does remind me of my home econ class back in sec school, we need to wash the dishes and bowls, and we get to work in groups. Talking about Home econs, it was real fun back then, hahah other then having to clean up the place later, the cooking part is fun. I still remember there is one particular lesson where we are supposed to cook Mee Hoon, and my partner was no other then my best friend caryn, hahahahahha it was a disaster.... we did not follow the recipe closely and caryn was suppose to help me with the ingredient while i fry......... that blur queen just pour everything in without looking, she added too much soya sauce then she try to neutralise it with water...and we forgot to add salt... ahahah thinking back it was really comical... but guess wat, the end results was good... it the best Mee Hoon i ever had, or it could be i was too hungry then >.< ...I missed school days......

Retirement
Met a primary school classmate for lunch ytd, she is in Insurance now, and we were chatting about retirement. She mention it easy to find out how much you need for retirement, Let's say the average age we can live is till 80 yrs old... and most likely you would stop working when you are 55 years old, and after that you will need to live off your savings... so 80 - 55 = 25 years x 12 months = 300 months, in order to live comfortably, you need about 1.5k monthly, that means you need to save a total of $450K .... that is a lot of money...*freak out* ...
I believe i am that kind of old folks that would rather live on my own and not bother the kids... hahaha so which means i need to be healthy and wealthy. I wont want to bug them or stay with them, they shld have their own little home.. hahah although i wont mind if they stayed nearby ahhahaha..
So i need to work hard now.. n saved up for my retirement..... ..... $$$$$

A Peaceful Sunday
It's a peaceful morning, the view outside my study is simply fantastic, I can see lots of greens and a lovely flyover. Yesterday i went to buy my food collectibles again, sigh, spend $70+ on it... now my room has turned into a mini food display gallery ... I got the new ice-cream collection from Mega house, it is just too lovely, got a Hagen Daaz lookalike for my good friend, she likes to eat ice- cream so i hope she will like it... hahah Oh talking about ice-cream, there is a lovely shop at Shaw tower- Beach road, named Tom's Palate. They made their own ice-creams and the flavours are very unique - they have apple pie, chrysanthemum, longgan and red dates, wasabi lime, horlicks, hazelnuts, blueberry cheesecake, summer berry and rum & rasin. They told me they will try to change the flavours, i think is once a month or something. The wasabi-lime flavour has a very acquired taste, you will be able to taste a tint of wasabi before the lime takes over. It's unlike those we ate with sushi, the wasabi taste is not overpowering and it does not spicy.
Relax............... it a sunday morning............

Inconsiderate Neighbours
Government has been ecouraging neighbours to be friendly and helpful. Does that really works? I can tell you it's NO....;I have super inconsiderate people living in my neighbour. This morning, i found dog poop at my corridor. I am so upset, this is not the first time something like had happen. Few weeks ago, my national flag was stolen, my mum found spit on the door, sometimes we get pee and HUMAN stool. So tell me, how does that equate to "Friendly and Helpful". I called the town council / HDB (i forgot) once, and guess wha they told me? "Sorry, there is nothing we can do, we are sorry that this thing happened. You should to the police, if you know who is the culprit....; I seriously wonder if they brought their brains to work, IF i had evidence, would i go the police or them??? Hmm that is really a tough question......Sigh, just sent a letter to the Town Council, I hope i will get some sensible and constructive feedbacks this time round....

Watch a Movie.....
Watch Superman on wed night.... I was so disappointed... ... Superman has a SON... well that is good new for him ... but i guess we want to see more than that... n the relationship with L.Lane is still so wishy-washy... the part that i dislike most was the part where he was hospitalise. .. How can Superman be Hospitalise....???? it just does not make sense.. the plot is so predictable.. Superman in coma, L.Lane tell him that he has a son ... and Whola he woke up ... sound familiar.. yap they are plots from those good old HK serials... .. but i must say the visual effects was satisfying...
My rating:
I bought a pair of earring from fie Japan ..... it's so lovely.. i just have to buy.. but its rather expensive.... :( looks like i can only buy once in a blue blue while.. I promise Vivi that i will take a picture of it to show her.. Here goes.... :)

Finding the One..........
No, I am not talking about Matrix, or some sci-fi movie ... :) Let's talk about LOVE!!! I believe everyone out there (including me) are looking High n Low for The ONE.... we are constantly asking ourself if the one beside us now is THE ONE. .. and if he/she is not, are we wasting our time? if he/she is, then will we be happily ever after? How can we identity THE ONE? Must we have the same hobby, interest, like the same food, has the same taste in things..etc?
All these things are superficial things, things we can see on the surface do not last... (.. okok i know i m begining to sound like some Love guru.. but it the truth) If we spend more time in loving that someone, rather then thinking about all the useless things..... THE ONE can be anyone around us.... as long as we use our heart to see... ok you are begining to think... Oh meow.. that is a load of crap... oh well here is a true story...
My bf and me are two pole apart.... and trust me it further then North and South pole... the food that i like he doesnt, the food that he likes i dun.... he is extremely quiet and ermm i am the "chatty" one..... he is very sensitive to details n I am a DA TOU XIA..... he is gentle and i am pretty rough.... we can look at a same issue and come up with totally different views and opinion... and more than often we end up squabbling. ... hahaha... yes that is a lot of differences.. but though all the quarrels and chatting, we are able to understand each other more n learn to appreciate each other too...
Ok enuff... it me and my "small" thoughts....* there will be more to come:P
Oh ya ... i am gonna boycot that coffeeshop near my workplace... not only is the coffee getting lousy... the services sux..... well guess tt ranking was true...

Ms Slow............
I think this is the most appropriate name for me... No...I have pretty quick reflexes but just that i am a slow follower to "techy" stuff like Blogs. Haha but i guess it is never too late to start rite.
I am so happy because i got a new bed .. bought a Sealy Mattress on tues... and it arriving this SAT... I am going to wake up at 8.30am, have my room packed to wait for the arrival of my New San Mario.
I went shopping on Tues and could not resist the temptation after trying on it. The saleswoman (hmmm i just could not make myself type "salesgirl") but anyway, she is pretty nice, she let me try on all the mattress on display. She speaks too fast, it seems she is just trying to finish off a certain Sales SOP (standard operation procedure) routine. Or maybe she is afraid that all the facts would bore me to death so she quicken the pace. This is one thing that i really dun understand, salespeople nowadays are just following a Set of standard sales technique to pitch to customer. They fail to realised that all individual are different and in order to pitch that sales, they need to edit and choose the correct words to woo the customers over and not just ... says the same similar speeches to 1000 people and pray that some of them will get what they are trying to sell.
