Commitment.....

Commitment is a big word... the definition in the dictionary states:
1. the act of committing.
2. the state of being committed.
3. the act of committing, pledging, or engaging oneself.
4. a pledge or promise; obligation:
5. engagement; involvement:
6. perpetration or commission, as of a crime.
7. consignment, as to prison.
8. confinement to a mental institution or hospital:

Not sure when but I seems to be having commitment phobic now. Commitment is like tinted glasses, they change the way you view Love. It adds a layer of responsibility, trust, expectations, needs, wants and desire on top of that pure love. When all this are on top of Love, somehow love just isn't that simple anymore. And worse of all we, woman, has constant "expectation" of our man, he must be caring, why didn't he call when he knows i am angry, why did he stop buying flowers, he should be planning for the trips because he is the man. All this is not healthy in the long run for both parties, it tires them out. One party is sick of not knowing what the other party really wants and one party is disappointed because it seems that the other cannot never deliver. I really admire some of my friends as they seem to be able to live their partners so peacefully and blissfully. Maybe they can advise me ............

Falling in Love with Ratatouille

It's pronounced as - Rat-a-too-ee... it's a must watch, I fall in love with the animation.. really feel like going to Paris after watching,... the scenes were simply breathtaking.. i think this is the only animation that they did not use any famous artist to voice over.. you can really see the effort they put behind the creation, every dish, every plate of food, the details, the richness and the story is really hilarious. It is simply fantastic.

I am a survivor

YEAH...I survived hell week.. this entire week was really realy tough. My masterclass team needs to churn out a proposal within a week and we are only able to work on it after our normal office hours. I only managed to catch about 10 hours of
sleep for the entire week....I have became a hermit, from the moment i reached office i was there till i leave, we dont even have anytime for lunch..

My schedule for the week.
Mon: 9am - 2am
Tue: 9.30am - 3am
Wed: 9.30 - 12mn
Thurs: 12mn - 1.30am
Fri: 6.30am - 9pm

its really like doing a pitch, we need to work on the proposal, the big idea, the execution and the big presentation.

The results, we got into top 3 and i am so proud that the best presentator is in my team.. the judges said that our team had great team dynamics.. really happy to hear that because i truly think i had a fanatastic team too..and i really enjoy working with them.. that kind of trust and dynamics is really beyond words...we learnt to compliment each others weakness and build on their strengths. And a really big thank you too all the people that had helped us...they really take the time n effort to help us.. really really grateful. Our Truimph project

The lazy cat is back

I have been really LAZY.. it has been a while since i last update my blog. I am attending Masterclass at work for 6 weeks. We were given homework every week and would only know the topics on Monday. We need to finish it off before the class start on Friday. And the training are on every Friday and Saturday but it is very fun, I really get to learn alot of stuff.. like MBIT, it let usunderstand more about how we work, look at things and plan stuff. This will not only help us see our own weakness but help us communicate better with other.

Yesterday they taught us the different type of research that company would deploy to undestand more about consumer insight. I was really surprise how much you can learn about one person but asking them to fill in a diary that allows them to express themselves with pictures, quotes, sketches and words. And one of the question is to find a picture that can represent your essence. So I drew this but i will be surprised how people would interpret it. It could be totally different from what i am think or trying to potray.. so friends take a stab at it and share your thoughts with me .....

Fish from the deep unknown

(picture from Mexfish.com)
I happen to chance upon this on you-tube, it fascinating, this fish lives in the Mediterranean and East Atlantic about 3000 feet under the sea... it can grow up to 50 feet (approximately 15 metres long).. it will only be spotted near the surface when it is sick or dying, I believe they are responsible for all the myth and legend about sea serpents.. its incredible isn't it.. there are so many of this creatures that lives in the deep in the ocean that we humans knows so little about...

Lunch @ the Line

Had a long long lunch with my family at The Line in Shangri-la, its really nice to spend a Saturday afternoon eating and chatting with them...with good food, nice company and lovely ambient, what more would you ask for. ..we just spend our time talking about everything under the sun, enjoying the food and company...The main reason why we meet up today is because my eldest cousin is going to Dubai to work and he is flying off on Monday and he wont be back till 6 months later... So this is a farewell lunch for him...

The food is really very nice, the spread is very good.. and the dessert bar looks so captivating... hahah i did not dare to start with the dessert bar first and had to purposely walk away from it because i am afraid that once i start i cant stop...

OK I spend the whole afternoon with my family and I have yet to start on my revision..I need to start on Sunday.. I have too .. must be discipline... heee hee

Know about the "drugs" you are taking

How many of us actually bother to find out what the doc actually prescribe to us? I bet no one would right..hahah that is normal, cos we do trust our doctors to give us what is best for our illness.

Ok, not that i do not trust my doc but i am curious about a certain antibiotics my doc gave me recently, so i decided to google it and see what i can find... What happen was - i was sick recently, ya it the pesky flu bug, went to see the doc and got some med.... But i realise that the antibiotics that i was taking is a little too strong for me.. cos after eating,i can feel my heart beat faster than normal and i keep waking up at night. At first i thought that is normal, when u are sick, u tend to eat lesser and thus feel weaker so the effect of the med will magnify... but after i google it , it realise all that i am feeling is actually the side effects of the med... Here's what the site says about the med: (http://www.merck.com/mmpe/lexicomp/amoxicillin%20and%20clavulanate%20potassium.html)

Warnings/Precautions

Hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis (some fatal), have been reported. Prolonged use may result in superinfection, including Pseudomembranous colitis. In patients with renal impairment, doses and/or frequency of administration should be modified in response to the degree of renal impairment. High percentage of patients with infectious mononucleosis have developed rash during therapy. Incidence of diarrhea is higher than with amoxicillin alone. Use caution in patients with hepatic dysfunction. Hepatic dysfunction, although rare, is more common in elderly and/or males, and occurs more frequently with prolonged treatment, and may occur after therapy is complete. Due to differing content of clavulanic acid, not all formulations are interchangeable. Low incidence of cross-allergy with cephalosporins exists. Some products contain phenylalanine.

Additional adverse reactions seen with ampicillin-class antibiotics: Agitation, agranulocytosis, alkaline phosphatase increased, anaphylaxis, anemia, angioedema, anxiety, behavioral changes, bilirubin increased, black “hairy” tongue, confusion, convulsions, crystalluria, dizziness, enterocolitis, eosinophilia, erythema multiforme, exanthematous pustulosis, exfoliative dermatitis, gastritis, glossitis, hematuria, hemolytic anemia, hemorrhagic colitis, indigestion, insomnia, hyperactivity, interstitial nephritis, leukopenia, mucocutaneous candidiasis, pruritus, pseudomembranous colitis, serum sickness-like reaction, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, stomatitis, transaminases increased, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura, tooth discoloration, toxic epidermal necrolysis

Hahah.. ok i am not being oversensitive, i know the right dose of med wont kill me but still hahah reading all this just make my hair stand... its just so contradicting isn't it? The med are suppose to cure us of a certain illness but yet there is a possibility of it leading to another illness... it's a vicious cycle ...

So the lesson for today is .. Please stay health, eat properly, keep fit and try not to rely too much on medication... our body are actually pretty incredible you know.. it has the ability to recover on its own, it may take a little longer at times and sometimes you are not even aware of it.

Crushes

Try to recall when was the last time u had a crush on someone... it's actually a pretty amazing feeling, except you will hate yourself if you ever say or do the wrong thing in front of him/her. You will feel nervous when u are know he/she is near. You try to steal a glance every now and then but is afraid to be found out by him or friends around you. You take every opportunity to be close to him/her but somehow when u are with him/her, you seems to lose that ability to talk. You are all clamped out, all you can do is to sit there and smile( trying not to look silly).

But when you find out that he/she doesn't like you.. you are Crushed - literately. That heartbroken feeling is very painful and you can't tell anyone, because it a secret crush... but despite the pain, i do know a few person that does not mind that, they will just happily fall in love and remain in love with this person secretly... when their crush smiles at them, it will be one of the most beautiful moment in their life...So Love is not about being together with that person and sometimes knowing that you will not get back what you have given out might be a good thing too... since you know there isnt any expectation from either party...Because.. everyone has a certain expectation of their loved ones and sometimes it is due to this expectations that couple break off...
